Mark Freeman demonstrated extraordinary readiness and resilience when he saved a man’s life at a Boy Scout camp near Payson, Arizona. Responding to an unconscious victim in anaphylactic shock and respiratory arrest, Freeman acted swiftly, directing the man’s friends to summon emergency services while performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation for 45 minutes until paramedics arrived. Thanks to Freeman’s heroic efforts, the man, a husband and father, survived without lasting injuries, giving him a second chance at life with his family and friends.
