Page Fire Department
On October 10, 1995, volunteer firefighter William Ferguson displayed extraordinary bravery by saving the life of an elderly blind neighbor trapped in a mobile home fire. Responding from his home three blocks away, Ferguson entered the burning structure without protective gear, navigating intense heat and smoke to locate the victim. Amid chaotic and life-threatening conditions, he found the man collapsed and struggling to breathe, pulling him to safety just as the flames closed in. Thanks to Ferguson’s courage and swift action, the man survived, a testament to the firefighter’s selflessness and heroism.
